My home is not a minimalist paradise. I wish it was. I can’t describe how happy I feel when the house is clean and tidy. I just wish it stayed that way longer. I am doomed to forever be a messy person, I suppose. I like to keep surfaces as clear as possible, without them looking too stark. Everyone seems to be going crazy for succulents these days and I also have a few of these low-maintenance plants dotted around. I have these tiny ones from Ikea. They are SO cute and so far seem to be foolproof (touch wood). It’s nice to have a little greenery in my living room.
I also love having flowers at home. But as much as I like the idea of fresh flowers, they are not something I pick up on a regular basis. A bunch of fresh flowers is usually reserved for a birthday/valentine’s day level event, unlike my mum who ALWAYS has fresh flowers at her house (maybe she should be a blogger)… I’ve been looking for a pretty, cost effective and *buzz word* low-maintenance alternative and found these at OKA. I also really like the idea of using jars and bottles as vases. Always a fan of repurposing!

so in love with these arrangements – I thinks there’s not a more simple & stylish way to decorate with flowers than to do it this minimal way!
